Box set due for July+new jersey gig on dvd!
 

A good mate of mine who works in the record department in the spanish "El corte inglés" told me yesterday that he had spoken to a Universal rep and that the box set will be ready for July and that they're also bringing out a dvd from the New Jersey days! However true this is I'm not sure but I just thought I'd let you all know. :P

I've recently read in the official BJ Site a question to Obie about a date of release during summer and he answered...No. It can't be released for the summer.
The DVD about New Jersey era can be "Access All Areas"...the same thing they did with "Live From London".

However amazing and fantastic this would be it is very unlikely. Not only would they not release an old show like that but Obie recently answered a question of mine in Q&A and said it wouldn't be a summer release.

All of the problems they're having with the record company means it might not get released at all, but hopefully it will and in time for christmas.

I'm very sceptic towards this :? El Corte Inglés don't usually have a clue as to what's going on. The day the TLFR DVD was released they tried to sell me the Live in London DVD because according to them it was their newest product :roll:

I don't usually buy there because of things like this. I only went there because I had a gift card and had to use it (which I couldn't). I don't think they really know.

Plus, if Obie said it wouldn't be a summer release, I guess he knows what he's talking about :P

It would be great if they did like Def Leppard and re-release the old VHS tapes in DVD.Separate releases not on the boxset.

I think we'll get a mix of a greatest hits album and b-sides (limited edition) as U2 did. I'm certain that our idea of 4 unreleased albums, a dvd and some goodies is totally unrealistic... if they stay at Universal, I can't see it coming :?

It doesn't even make marketing sense to release a box set in the summer. They'll want to release a big name box set for the Christmas season because people have looser pockets.
