The version of Long Way Around that appears on the Fire Down Below soundtrack is actually the Steven Segal demo version which Richie later rerecorded for the movie. The movie contains the Richie version intercut with dialog and sound effects. A decent rip and remaster version of the Richie/Movie cut appears on a few older bootlegs from that time.
Also the record company would send a single track CD to anyone who wrote in and complained about the bad track on the soundtrack CD, however this was not anything that was advertised publicly so by the time most people found out about it, the offer had been recinded.
And just in case anyone is wondering the movie sucks badly, not even worth renting.
