New Classic Rock
 

Noticed the latest Classic Rock on the shelves this morning. It had a big article on the Scorpions, which included a piece about BJ. It talks about when the scorpions were touring in 84/85 and bands like Bj, Def leppard and metallica were all supporting them at various points during the tour. They say "We taught BJ all there is to know about rock and roll.....before they were a pop band but we showed them how to be a rock and roll band".
The article also says that Doc McGhee told the boys to "Copy the scorpions, they know how to do rock and roll"!!
Interesting!!

Yeah 'The Wind of Change' really ROCKS. Not!!

As well as the Scorps thing, Classic Rock has a short article on people saying how they think The Darkness suck, includes Jon and Lemmy. There's also a little review on the TLFR DVD (it got 3/5 stars).

I think they've got a point there... Bon Jovi were just pupils, learning from the best around 84/85. Scorpions rocked, they were a good band to look up to. They still rock!!!

That is quite frankly b*llox. Listen to the first two BJ albums and you can hear that they knew what they were doin'. :roll:

But Scorpions aren't saying they taught BJ how to play or write music, they're talking about stagecraft, touring, being a rock'n'roll band rather than making rock'n'roll music.
