i don't know A LOT about guitar but somewhat know about them.. i'm interested in which guitar's richie like's/plays.. i was watching the Crush dvd and during I'll be there for you i noticed he was playin a Fender Strat, it looked beat to hell! is this one of his favorites has it been with him for a while? or is that just a style..
Is there a guitar that he's been using in concert for a long time? I know there has to be some stories about richie and his guitars.. thanks

There are all Kramer guitars he owned from 86-90. Unfortunately he sold them all and aren't produced anymore.

That's the one Richie uses in the Livin on a prayer video. Great masterpiece...

The one he uses on IBTFY on the Crush DVD/VHS is one of his custom made Fender signature models. The body and neck look well worn but the model itself was only released commercially in 2000 (or around that time) which means he either used it shitloads or gave it a bit of a superficial battering before touring with it - I don't know. Hadn't really thought about it before.

PS. And actually the Kramer re-release is not the replica of the guitar he used on the LOAP video - as you can see from the pics in the link I listed, it was a custom Jackson with a reverse headstock on that particular vid! Sorry Timo :wink:
