does bon jovi like/ed '80s bands?
they came out in the beginning of the '80s with a lot of bands did the same kind of music...bon jovi defined the HARD ROCK POP METAL so i guess they like or at least they liked that music....so anyone have noticed if they like some of their contemporary? i mean bands like MOTLEY CRUE, POISON, FIREHOUSE, EUROPE, WARRANT ecc ecc....
i only read jon bon jovi couldn't understand why back in 1985 DOKKEN and RATT sold more albums than him...(them) |
They supported Cinderella and Skid Row so I would say they liked them.

Here's Jonny-boy with Bach, Jani Lane and Bret Michaels. Dunno where the pic is from, but Bon Jovi did tour quite a bit with their peers in the late 80's. |
WHAT A GREAT ****ING PIC!!!!!!!!!!4 frontman from the greatest hard rock band!!!!great!!!!
i've never thought jon on stage with jani lane and bret michaels |
Jon Bon Jovi is in that pic? Where?

I don't know if they like them but Bon Jovi want to distance themselves from the 80s bands as much as they can. Look at who they take on tour with them now. SR71, Less Than Jake, Eve 6, Live, MB20 and GGD.

As someone said they helped out Skid Row and Cinderella, and not just in the 80's Skid Row used Jon's Studio to record part of their last album. And the boys are definetly like Def Leppard and Aerosmith( though I'm wouldn't put them as an 80's band a lot of people do).
But i can also understand how they would want to distance themselves from that, it's not the 80's anymore and if they would bring out Skid Row on tour that would probably do more damage for them than good. |
