Has Richie ever done the scream on IBTFY?
 

Just wondering. I've heard several versions that Richie has done of this song but he never does the original scream and I certainly know it's not because he's not got the voice. Anybody heard him do it? :?

No, he didn't. Neither during his solo-shows where he regulary sang it nor with BJ. He sings a more bluesy version of it so a scream wouldn't fit. And his voice is not as much in training as Jon's, he probably doesn't want to damage it. He kind of screamed during other songs at his solo shows though.

That's why I wrote kind of. A scream like Jon does doesn't fit into the songs or versions of songs he sings.

The audience did the scream though, at least at Hyde Park
