bon jovi most succesful band ever?
 

even if at least 20/30 acts have sold more albums than bj did, can we consider them the most succesful band ever (apart from beatles...)?

i say this because
1) they have the hard rock best seller album EVER
2) they at least 3 times in 3 decades had a HUGE N 1 SINGLE ALL OVER THE WORLD : livin on a prayer 1986 always 1994 it's my life 2000
plus obviously others n 1....i don't think anyone have ever had two N 1 all over the world 15 years one from the other

if you look at other bands like ac/dc rolling stones ecc ecc...it's true they sold more than bj, they are at the top since '60s/70sbu they had not more A SMASH SINGLE since those years...so they live wih their previous succes while bon jovi despite the fact are not at the top like in the '80s continue to release succesfull albums...
that's my points...what do you think?

I think what you said is true but you forgot to mention that they are one of thoes bands that can still sell out there tours :D

What are you talking about???SWW ain't even in the top 3.BACK IN BLACK, APETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, LED ZEPPELIN IV, have all sold more than Slippery....

appetite sold more in the us but slippery sold alot more in europe and japan

Universal said recently APETITE sold 30.000.000
As far as I know, Slippery is around 25 million.

OWN sold 2.5 million.I guess that's great for a Live Album promoted with only one single.

BOUNCE sold 6 million.What other rock band sold 6 million recently?Metallica... I can't think of any other.
And TLFR sold 1 million without any promotion. On my planet THIS IS SUCCESFUL!

for the other one who said bj are succesful just in my planet...i'm with you devilsson, maybe they didn't released the biggest albums in the past 10 years but selling about 20.000.000. just in the past 4 surely it proves they release some succesful albums......

OWN = 2,5 million
Bounce = 6 million
TLFR = 1 million

So Crush was mor than 10 million? Sorry, I`m confused.
