do care about....?

how much do you care about guitar solos in hte songs, particuarly inthe bj's songs?

They are generaly my favourites songs. The same with other bands. It's very important for me, it's the thing that makes me close my eyes during the song, and wants to listen it again and again.

They are an integral part of BJ's style and represent an added opportunity for the band (and of course Richie!) to express their true talents as musicians. A song without a solo wouldn't be Bon Jovi IMO and would be an inexplicable and blatant waste of a true guitar talent that so many new musicians are lacking these days and is only present in the lucky few!

As for other bands, the same goes. If they make up the usual, successful structure a band adopts, then it would be a crime to throw them out. 8)

LIKE AT LEAST IN THE WHOLE CRUSH AND BOUNCE ALBUM?

Well yeah, but we all know that Richie is capable of a lot better!
:D
He was actually quoted in interviews as being quite happy with his guitar-work on BOUNCE and that it is a 'guitar-album' which strikes me as bizarre!

I think guitar solo's are very important. Bon Jovi should get back to them.

Yeah I think it's always nice to have a musical break within the lyrics. It doesn't have to be a guitar solo though. It can be a keyboard, bass, saxophone, drum or harmonica solo. Maybe Bon Jovi should experiment with a few different instruments, but only as long as they stay in the "rock" genre.

They're not that important to me. My musical taste is all over the map, so no one instrument makes or breaks a song for me (unless it's the voice... I can listen to just about any style, but voices can turn me off to certain acts like Creed).

Glad I am not alone, as I feel the same exact way. Voices are what I pay more attention too.

Maybe because you girls aren't musicians or play the guitar.
I hope they bring back more longer solos, as long as they have a point in a song It's great, for example some people complain about You had me from hello or Open All Night not having a solo but I really couldn't imagine neither of those songs with a solo.
I hope they have more solos like "My guitar lies bleeding in my arms", when i hear it i just close my eyes and get lost in it. It's amazing.
