Beer drinkers here's a thought
 

OK it's pretty obvious that bottled, canned and draft beers all taste different but do you think stuff like what kinda of glass it's in makes a difference?


anyways roll call on your drinks of choice:

When I'm doing it in style
Stella cans or draft NEVER bottles

When I want an easy drink:
Miller bottles, cans or draft (it may be shit but its better than the rest of the shit around and goes down easy)

When I'm skint:
bottle of strongbow but ive kinda got out of that habit as of late. took me nearly 2 years to realise cider ****s you up a whole lot more than beer.

of course the made of glass and shape will make a difference.


You cannot drink a Weissbier out of an ordinary glass - yuck! Americans do it all the time, but that wouldn't be a surprise, really.

Plastic cups are an insult and should be banned.

Only heavy glass should be used and depending on the beer it should be frosted.

Cans are only useful to chuck them.

Drafts are for skints.

Bottled is proper and I actually prefer to drink most beer out of the bottle. Keep in mind in the US beer bottles are only .3l, so they don't usually get flat or warm before used up.

I had a boyfriend who would drink his beer only out of frosted glasses - what a pain in the rear...... :roll:

I prefer bottles, whatever brand I'm drinking at the time. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I'm not really fussy. I do hate cans though. And I agree with you Spunky on the plastic cups. Except when I go to Busch Gardens...it's owned by Anheiser Busch and you can get free beer in a plastic cup. But it's free, so who cares. LOL.

My boss is an expert in fine wine and such and gave me an initiation to it. I already knew some stuff but I was amazed at the demo he did with different glasses for the same wine. 3 glasses, 3 totally different tastes.

Bottles usually. I drink cheap spanish beer usually. San Mig's definitley better bottled, and Mahou. Cruzcampo's always shite although I must say it tastes better in a can!

I hate drinking beer out of cans, dont mind bottles, but I prefer a glass. Dont like it when you go to a concert or footy match and get a beer in a plastic glass, it never tastes the same.

I can't even tell the difference between different brands, so I'm fairly useless.... then again, I don't drink beer that much. I say that my favourite brand is Nastro Azzuro, but I don't know if I can really taste any difference or if I'm just pretending :?
