I am so mad at my boss right now!

Susan and I both have psychometry degrees and we both offered to help test the 120 kids that have to be tested this summer if she would give us 8 hours of credit in comp time for 3 kids/3 reports.

The logic behind that is these are our holidays. It's like us coming in on Thanksgiving, so it's working overtime. If we worked at a factory, we'd get paid triple time wages. All we asked for was a full day's credit in time which isn't going to cost our financially strapped school district anything.

She said she couldn't do that, so I said, "Okay, then what will you pay me per child to test?"

After that, she said she'd give us the time.

Then she goes and finds four other psychometrists and offers them $50 PER CHILD and isn't even going to require that they write their own reports.

For $50 a kid and not having to write reports, I could do 4 or 5 kids a day. She doesn't think I'd like to take home $1000 to $1250 a week? She didn't even OFFER this to me and Susan even though we asked her about being paid when she said no to the time suggestion.

Now, she's created a budgeting nightmare and she's dumping all the reports these other psychometrists would do on our already overworked secretary.

This is not even ethical. *I* am this district's psychometrist. *I* should have been the FIRST person offered this deal.

Susan and I are thinking of talking to our superintendent about this. We're tired of being treated differently than every other 200 day employee in this district. Our plan would only have helped the district.

Report them.

The people upstairs need their arses kicked from their people upstairs now and again.

I agree with Jim Becky - Unless you say something, things will never change. It can be uncomfortable to cause an uproar but you are obviously already uncomfortable with the entire situation.

You have to report becky. You have to tell th epeople who have to pay at llast. They have to know why they pay so much for people who even don`t have to write their reportss. If you let her go with this she will do it again next year cause she knows you will keep your mouth shut. So don`t and tell!!!

Have you asked her point blank why you weren't offered that deal?

This seems very weird to me and if she is pissy because you asked for money so, she decided to give the money to someone else, you should at least hear the truth about and/or have her boss hear the truth as well.

As much as I hate getting into things with my bosses, I always feel better afterwards to have had "the talk". I think it is very important for a working relationship to be able to "talk things over" with your boss and/or their boss. VERY important.

is your boss just a bitch in general or is this a 1 off deal?

I dunno man i thought my boss was bad but this puts things into perspective. i got so drunk I was sick on her at our last night out and she just laughed it off. maybe she's not so bad.
