Now I'm not trying to bash anybody...but does this group really think that the US Government will allow this?
When I first read this, I thought it was a joke...but it is for real.

They think that they will get away with such a plan because the President of our country has publically stated that he was chosen by Jesus Christ to be the president. That statement reminded me of the "Divine Right of Kings" argument that was used by monarchs to get away with anything.
Scary isn't it.

I am a Christian, but don't agree with this at all. We should be bringing people together, not tearing our ties apart. This is definatly not the right way to handle this situation. I think this will cause a lot of problems and make it worse. I would have thought it was a joke too. This is just plain sad.

Yeah and look at what happened to two of those monarchs who believed in Divine Right...Charles I, Louis XVI...both executed.

There's a group called the Free State Project that wants Vermont to secede from the Union. Apparently they're gaining power. Their aim is to re-establish our Constitutional heritage in Vermont when it leaves. Very cool. Might have to move there if they actually succeed. Succeed, secede, same thing. :lol:
