Funny thing that happened to me
 

Just wanted to share this little story. Yesterday I was out with some friends. A guy went up to me and said, "I'm not trying to pick you up" I'm thinking,"Right classic pick up line' :roll: Anyways he continued, "Really I'm not, I just saw you over there withyour friends and I wanted to come over and say you look very beautiful this evening." "I know this is going to sound like a line, but it's the honest truth, you are the most lovely women here." At first I didn't quite know what to make of this guy but I smiled and Thanked him. He said, "don't thank me thank God" and then he told me to have a nice evening and he walked away. At first likeI said I wasn't sure what just happened there, but then I actually believed the guy just wanted to pay a compliment with no strings attached. This usually doesn't happen because living in a large city, (and Toronto can be somewhat of a meatmarket) people don't usually pay compliments withouttrying to coyly get in your pants. I was so :shock: that a guy walked up to me, complimented and went on with his business! And I saw him throughout the night sitting quietly with some friends and not appearing to be approaching other women. My friends thought this was the cuttest thing. Just thought I'd share this quite rare event.

I have absolutely no doubt thaty you're a very attractive woman but I'm 99% sure the guy was hoping you'd go over and talk to him later on.

These exact words that have been said to you have been said to me on a regular basis for the past 20 yrs. The guy was hoping if he didnt come on strong that you would go over to him.

A decent line from a guy would not concentrate on your looks and would say :

you are a very pretty woman but I would like to see if your personality matches your face !!!!!!!!!! I would go out with anyone who said that to me immediately.

again. I have no doubt whatsoever that you're extremely attractive but that was most definetely a line, a stealthy one but still a line.

Oh I agree its a line , but its a decent one. :D Its hard for guys to approach women without sounding like they are throughing a line at you.

When in truth a hi , how are you , would be just fine.

Saying that. Was out clubbing with ym best mate a coupla months ago when me n ash had fell out and there was this good looking girl hanging around.

You've got to understand that I've been out of th eloop for a few years so I'm like eh how does this work again, a few beers later and I get myself together, just about to go over and say hi when one of her friends decides to be sick and she disappears into the toilet with her never to be seen again :evil:


Im nt trying to pull you but you're very attractive is like something one of my mates would say when he's sober, when he's drunk he hits out with such classics as: you;'ve got tits like my ex girlfriends cept a little bigger or the all time favourite whispering i'd like to **** your brains out in the lucky ladies ear.

:shock: being drunk really isnt a turn on for women . If a guy approaches me after he has had more than one pint he stands no chance. :twisted:

hehehe, guys use pick-up lines because they indeed work with some girls. lol. If a guys says it isn't a pick-up line IT IS a line - otherwise there would be absolutely NO reason to say it isn't.

The only thing that would freak me out is how he put the "today" in - hopefully you and he visit that establishment regularly. :D

I wasn't drunk, I just needed a little Dutch courage. As I said, i hadn't done it for years and without blowing ones proverbial trumpet, The past 3 or 4 girls Ive had all approached me 1st.
