The Da Vinci Code
 

I'm currently reading this book and I can honestly say that it is one of the most intriguing books I have read in a long time. Has anyone else read it?? Thoughts??

As I said there, it's not my type of book but I certainly enjoyed it. But reading it was exhausting since I could do nothing but read and read :roll:

Isn't it a brilliant book though?? I'm half way through and I can't put it down! It is shocking (if true) what has happened over time in the Christian faith...

And Opus Dei seem a bit strange to say the least...

I haven't read that one yet. I just bought Angels & Demons which is supposed to be what happened prior to Da Vinci Code. Someone reccommended both and I would rather start "at the beginning." So far Angels and Demons is very intriguing.

I have...following Keeper's advice :wink: ...And I have to say it was one or the most amazing book I've read so far, it is intriguing, exciting and some of the facts were kind of new to me...I have lent it to a friend and she felt exactly the same, she called me to thank me and wanting to discuss it...While I was reading it, I felt like discussing it with everyone and/or advising them to buy it as well...I'd love my mum to read it but she doesn't speak a word of English and I'm trying to see if I can find the Spanish version...I'm about to read another of his books but I am not sure it will have the same effect...Thanks Keeper!!! :D

I have both books sitting in my house. I am waiting for school to end before I start reading them. I heard that Angels and Demons is even better than Da Vinci Code, so I think I will start with that one too. :D

It is an amazing book. So much detail, yet easy to read. I couldn't put it down. It is one of the best books I have ever read.

No need to be sorry, Tash! :D I know there was no way you could know about that other thread! I just posted the link so that all the excitement was better conveyed! (and, well, because I didn't feel like writing too :oops: ).

What I found amazing is that it uses so little fiction. Most theories are actual theories and all the books mentioned in there are real books as well.

Opus Dei is a terrible organization, which I do loathe and find it's a sect.

It`s a really great book..I read both books by this author..the Berninimistery and the Da vincicode. I love to read Ludlum, buth this guy is even better. He knows how to keep intriques exciting without makin it so difficult to understand what`s happening. It`s a pageturner..read it!
