Bon Jovi with Springsteen to oppose GOP nomination
Here's a link to the article:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5269402/ Apparently, the guy wants Bruce, but Bon Jovi and REM said they'd be in as well. Rockers and politics.....whatever. At least it's entertaining. |
well I can understad Bruces inclination to identify (or work against)with either politcal patry
"I've spoken to the manager of REM, to Bon Jovi's people and the rest of the names I've mentioned and they all said, 'if you build it, we will be there." Republicans and Democrats both asked to use Springsteen's 1984 hit "Born in the U.S.A." -- a song about how unwelcoming America was to returning Vietnam veterans but often mistaken for a patriotic anthem -- for use in political campaigns. Springsteen declined the requests. |
All politics aside, with all the names mentioned it sounds as if it could be a great concert.
If they can get it together. |

Hi sweeties ) Bon Jovi is announced for the "Concert For A Change" on september the 1st. If it's true and actually happens, will it be Bon Jovi the band or just Jon Bon Jovi? And if it's just a false rumour, I'm sorry - I'm not trying to start anything here ;o) I just read it on the MSNBC website. Thanks asked by a quick one on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 Answer: This is nothing Jon nor the band nor their management nor their label have had anything to do with. Don't mark your calendars. This was a wire story yesterday that had no merit and now news outlets are picking it up, reprinting, repeating it and propulgating misinformation. answered by BON JOVI INFO HQ on Wednesday, June 23 , 2004 10:45 AM |
