Solo Albums

Anyone else think that perhaps its time for the band to take one of their, by now, famous breaks and make some solo albums. Personally I think the direction they have taken with the Crush and Bounce albums has run its course and perhaps a break to make solo albums, at this point, might see the band return with a fresh approach. Also I'd be interested to see where Jon and Richie are artistically. Their 4 solo albums to date(excluding Young Guns) have given a good indicator of what they bring to the band individually. Anyone agree/disagree?

Richie is already working on another solo-album. Jon is concentrating on his hobbies (football and "acting") and David is busy with his musicals.

I would love for Jon to do another solo album and mini tour, but from the sounds of it, the next album will be another Bon Jovi one.
I am hopeing they will go back to their rocky roots and produce something similar to Keep the Faith!

Yeah I agree with that. Bon Jovi have gradually been going down hill since These Days. We know the guys are still capable of creating great music, but it seems they are trying to appeal to a different audience these days. I think they should release something heavy, similar to Bad Medicine, Hey God, or Good Guys Don't Always Wear White. That would make people stand up and take note, and I'm sure many people would like it because Bon Jovi know how to be heavy and still be commercial (catchy songs).

We know they have it in them, they can rock like the best of them! - They just have to do it and f*ck the consequences. Who cares if the album is a hit or not, they sure don't need the money, but it would definately please a lot of the die hard rock fans.

I think that they took that different vein with Crush and Bounce because rock wasn't really happenin' in the years from 1998 to 2002. But now it is
back, for the time bein' anyway, and all these 80's bands are makin' records again, and rock is comin' alive again! This is now the time for a kick arse ROCK album from Bon Jovi! - Aerosmith missed the boat with their blues album, if they had released a proper rock album it would have been a huge hit! thats just my opinion anyway.

I'd love to hear new solo CDs from Jon and Dave. But I think they'll be doing another band CD next.

What four albums are you talking about since you've excluded Blaze Of Glory? The Powerstation Years was not a solo album, there are even a lot of different versions of this pre-band-stuff compilation.
And why did you exclude Blaze Of Glory?

Hmz, he might have had Lunar Eclipse in the back of his mind, and Blaze might be excluded because of it not really being a solo album according to Jon. He always though Destination Anywhere was his first solo album.
