Rockin` In The Free World

It's stupid topic (maybe i'm stupid)
but i'm listening to this song right now
and i have to say "keep on Rockin` In The Free World" to you all.
It's not important, but i just had to say this.
It's just how i feel right now.
Great song. No, the greatest song!
Great band! The GREATEST band in the world!

P.S. ...waiting for new album... :D

I agree, it is a good song. But it's not a BJ-song but a cover from Neil Young ;).

Yeah i know. But you know sometimes cover songs sound better than the original. I mean this song and (sorry Lennon's fans) "Imagine". Yes, i think that Bon Jovi put something (i don't know what  ) into this songs so they sound better to me. One more time sorry John Lennon's fans. Respect...

agree Mousebounce. Nothing can be better than an original. BJ usually make very good covers, that's for sure, but never better than the original of the one who wrote it with the meaning it has for the writer.

err if you ask real people in the world i think you'll find out of the known covers of it eddie vedder solo or pearl jam as a band wack out a far better version than BJ.

thats not even up for discussion!!!!!

though as sambo chris said. "nothing can be better than an original" thats the way i see it and always have seen it. the reason for this is the 'original' is how it was intended to sound by its creator. by the master mind behind it. yeah covers can sound a little nicer to the ear but its just not the same. each song written by a musician usually means something to them.

It usually annoys me when an artist or band covers someone else's song. It looses something that the original has, just like a movie that has been redone. And most are badly redone and ruin the whole thing. Just like uncle cracker's version of drift away and madonna's version of American Pie among many others, absolutly horrible! :? However IMO, Bon Jovi does justice to every song they cover, and sometimes bring something more to them. Some of them do sound better than the originals, to me anyway, and I prefer them.

I love Neil Youngs version and wouldn't trade it for another one.on the other hand there are some Bon Jovi covers that I tend to like more than the originals.(Shout comes to mind :P )
anothe example is Knocking on Heavens door. Not because BJ added anything special to it, just because I don't like Bob Dylan's voice that's all.

yeah.....

That song kicks ass...just like BJ! :D
