Bands Of Our Own

anyone else in a band? I love the glam rock scene and have stuck with it for a fair few years now so its no surprise to find me listening to bon jovi, def leppard, warrant and van halen etc etc but has anyone gone that extra step and had a go at forming a band..

I have - its hard work.. lol - cant find a lead singer but as soon as we get one we can get going with some more frequent practises..

anyone else in a band?

Yup! In a Jovi trib band at the moment and rehearsed again this morning - they've got me singing backing vocals now!

Just added 16 more songs to the setlist and hopefully we'll be gigging very shortly! :D

Yep.
in a sort of a Punk band at the moment.
but we play all kinds of styles I guess you could say we haven't really found our Identity as a band yet.But I'm getting more and more into that AFI style and Story of the year so I guess we are going in that direction now.
The gigging has stopped now but will resume as soon as we get really polished on the new songs.

Yeah, my band's called Voodoo Circus (formally Circus).

Half way through recording an album. The vocalist has just moved from L.A a few weeks ago, and is working on vocals with the guitarist at the moment... (was asked several times to go down and help, but refused on the basis every song would have been called things like 'rock and roll train')

I tried setting up a band with Tom in the past, but it really is hard work. I joined this band being found by the guitarist. Basically he decided he was going to give it another shot, and spent years phoning up any musician he thought may work. Every phone number he could get his hands on, from mags, shops e.t.c... Like I said our vocalist is from America, other vocalists in the frame were not local either. He has a history, and 6 weeks studio time to entise very good musicians, but I think if you just don't hold back, phone everybody and listen to anybody who expresses an interest then you'll be able to find somehting.

lol. when/if we ever get it finished :D

Should have been in doing the vocals two weeks ago, that was put back to work on the vocals more till today, and then put back again for another few weeks...

Hopefully there will be a record company somewhere that will take us on, I've got instrumentals of the stuff and it sounds awsome. You never know tho, at the end of the day it's some guy in a suit judging rock music, could go either way :P
