BJ got a comedy mention in UK sitcom

Hello,

Was watching 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps tonight on BBC 2, (its a comedy about 4 teenagers/students.

Anyway Gaz (will mellor) walks into the pub (bar) to collect his date he says in a french accent madamoselle Bon Jovi , instead of Bonjour, quite a clever line, it made me smile.

They used the same thing on Days of Our Lives once. They had this little kid tell his dad goodbye when he was going on a trip and he said, "Bon Jovi." :)

That joke is so played out.
Can't they come up with a new one??
I think that'l be like the thousand time that joke has been used on tv.

And it was used on an episode of Family Guy. Peter walks into a room and says "Bon Jovi" instead of bonjour

Lol, it was more of a "Bon Jorvi". Northern accents are great.

There was also a mention on Bo Selecta, the Friday night before last. Really can't remember what was going on but they had the Richard and Judy sketch and Richard was greeting a caller (named Jon). He was getting mixed up with the name saying something like, "Here we have Jon [using various surnames]" Then coming to "... Bon Jovi, well it isn't Jon Bon Jovi, but it'd be great if it was."

About jokes, there's one very used here, but there's only meaning in portuguese, I'll try to explain:

People usually write BOM instead of BON, cause BOM in portuguese means GOOD, and JOVEM instead of JOVI, cause JOVEM means YOUNG, TEENAGER....

So, they say Bom Jovem (something like Good Teen)
