The Bon Jovi setlists...

I have always wondered why great songs like Stick to your guns, Without love or Blame it on the love... have never been played live.
Since 1984 til today Bon Jovi always have their fixed setlist and rarely change a song during the tour.
Wouldn't it be more interesting for a band to change the setlist more often? Isn't it more fun playing songs which have rarely been played live than playing Prayer for the 2000 time?
Who also things that BJ should change the setlists more often?

something like 15 years ago, huh?

and beside the songs u mentioned, they have totally put 2 great albums away and they havent played any songs on these albums for 8 years! (Except for runaway.)

They played Stick to your guns in 1988 for one time and haven't seen it a 2nd time.

And right, they totally forgot Bon Jovi and Fahrenheit. Only Runaway and Tokyo Road (only in Japan) are part of the setlists sometimes.

Aloha !

There have been big discussions about this, and yes, most of us thought they should change their setlists more. The variety is gone, plus that songs that the crowd wants to hear are no longer played. The KTF and These Days tours offered less variety, but at least the band knew which songs to play live, instead of nowadays when they're giving us Capt. Crash, Misunderstood and during the Crush and OWN tour Say It Isn't So, which probably about 100 people really love.

Also the fact that they should play their hits is a valid point. However, when you play about 20 songs per concert, you should be able to give the crowd 5 songs they don't know that well, it won't make a difference in the total appreciation of a crowd when they're leaving. When you really think about it, Raise Your Hands was the biggest surprise of the last 3 tours. It's not that I don't like it, but why can't they bring back more songs like that ?

Ah yeh and by the way, Blame It On The Love has been played about 2 times in Yokohama, Japan, during the I'll Sleep When I'm Dead Tour. And Stick To Your Guns has only been played one time, during the Brussels gig in 1988 (?) Jon messed up the lyrics and probably decided not to do it ever again live.
