With a tally of 100 million albums sold Bon Jovi are obvious kings of the trade but respectivley how great is 100 million?

Here is a scale for you to use

Bon Jovi album sales are equal to The spice girls, Take that, Robbie Williams and Oasis put together and 100 million albums are rarely sold by any band, even Elvis only just managed it because of a re-release last spring.

I hope this fact will help you all in the argument that i face everyday with my friends "who is the best band of all time"

PS. The poll is there because i really like making them up (no real reason)

If you use record sales as a measure of a bands quality then Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Barbara Streisend are 3 of the greatest female vocalists of all time. :roll:

on the thingy bout record sales, i dont believe that they mean anything because there have been some pretty bad songs got to number one in the past (note all songs by Wham) but should you ever get into an argument like the one i am faced with everyday with say... a doobie brothers fan who says "they sold over 50 million albums ..man" ("man because the doobie Brothers fan is very likely to be stoned) then you can say "Bon Jovi sold 100 million! muhahahaha!!!"
