Hyde PARK

Why did the boys not release the concert Live On cD??? I notice a year down the line The Chilli Peppers are going to do that - now it is expected to sell like hot cakes so why did Bonjovi chicken out of it - the whole concert live on CD plus DVD showing some live footage would have been great!!!

Well for a start the whole concert ran for almost 3 hours, so they would have to make it a 3CD boxset to fit the whole show, and then a DVD with some tracks on (like we got on the This Left Feels Right bonus DVD) would mean the set would probably be quite expensive.

Also I don't think it's as much to do with the band not wanting to do it as the record company. I think the band might have released the show on DVD, but the record company probably didn't want that.

Did the record company want to release TLFR dvd? If they did...crazy bastards. Surely Hyde Park would have sold more.

They probably would have sold more copies but TLFR was something new and fresh for the band and the fans so why would they have just an ordinary concert video similar to the Zurich performance from the Crush tour or Wembley from the These days (although even with 1,000,000 people the magnitude of Wembley is difficult to match)

Well if they did release it i would buy it, it was a great concert

Supersonic 07-20-2004 07:56 PM

Aloha !

They did not release it because it was not DVD worthy. 120.000 people do not make a concert any better.

Yes. 92.000 was told to Jon in the afternoon, at 8 about 120.000 people were in attendance. This was told by the security in the front row to several people in the pit who were amazed when Jon anounced that 92.000 people were there.

I disagree - I thought the footage on the TLFR DVD was far better than many ppl were saying. In fact, I am tempted to start up a debate, because I think Jon carried Blood on Blood. Richie was nowhere near the zone.

I thought the performance was a lot better than many of the bootlegs from last tour & certainly better than that on Crush DVD.
