I have it because I rarely go into the cinema. I don't have the time and going into a cinema regulary is way more expensive. If I'd go to a cinema together with my hubby I'd pay nearly as much just for one single movie. And as I said I don't have the time to go. So for me it's worth it, beside that my hubby is a huge soccer fan and can watch all the games there.

and seeing that you are a civil servant, you probably earn more money than the average german citizen as well :)

Sambo-Chris 08-01-2004 12:13 PM

LOL, I wish I would. It seems you have a totally wrong impression of what a civil servant earns. If I would do the same job in a company I would earn way more.

well, i am not sure which department you work in, but i have seen the salary categories for civil servants in the "Auswärtiges Amt" and they are rather high. My cousin and my aunt also work as civil servants and earn more than the average citizen in eastern germany. furthermore, where you live jobs are generally better paid than where i am. (here we have an unemployment rate of 20%) so i dont know...

But I'm just working for our local governement. Our income is absolutely not comparable with what you earn in a ministerium. Esp. when you don't have studied at a University.
