has richie ever snapped a string while playing live? if s what happened an what wer the bands reactions? an what did richie do?

theres a post sumwhere below about mini 'disasters' that have occured during a show. Iv seen richie break a string 3 or 4 times, but his guitar tech guy is so fast to appear from nowhere with a new one no1 notices

That's possibly why he stopped playing axes with Floyd Rose systems. If you snap a string on one of those, the guitar instantly goes out of tune cos the bridge is a floating unit and everything is kept in fine balance by string and spring tensions. Since a lot of their newer stuff and the stuff they still play live doesn't require heavy dive-bombing or extensive use of the whammy bar, he can get away a lot more easily with the standard strat bridges which aren't as reliable at keeping tuning with heavy use but don't f**k up the song by automatically re-tuning if a string goes.
