Maybe this is a weird question...
...but does bands/artists, such as Bon Jovi, need some kind of work permit to play in different countries?
I ask because I remember that Jon was going to be a guest DJ on a radio station in London once, and he wasn't allowed to because he didn't have a work permit. So, are gigs work? |
yep, they do in the US anyways.
they get a specific artist performance permit and if they aren't careful they may have to pay taxes too. |

Alex James of Blur was told he could not play on their most recent tour of America. He was refused a work permit due to some criminal activity he did many moons ago.
I'm sure you'll be asking who the **** are they, they're quite big in England anyway... :) |
