Live DVD?

From HMV japan's website:

The wait is over for Nirvana's complete box set, 'Nirvana Box', which will include a DVD featuring the band's 1987 performance.Bon Jovi's '100 Million Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong' will boast three discs of unreleased cuts, a disc of rarities and a live DVD. Manic Street Preachers, who are readying a new album 'Life Blood', will offer 'Holie Bible - 10th Anniversary Edition' for the holiday season. Upcoming mini-LP reissues include Jeff Beck's 'Beck-Ola' and Brian Eno's 'Ambient 1.'

I really hope this is true. Anyone heard anything more about the DVD?

live dvd??
maybe Hyde Park?

Stut 10-16-2004 11:10 AM

Thatīs bullshit. Wrong information. DVD includes exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage and itīs about an hour long. No live material and no Hyde Park.

Duh it can be true, Japanese releases are always slightly different from normal releases!

HMV talks about a "live DVD". The DVD in the boxset contains backstage material of live concerts... so you can call it a live dvd in some way... But I don't think they will leave out the behind-the-scenes and interviews dvd and replace it with a live DVD. And I also don't think they will add an extra DVD to the Japanese boxset... we'll just have to wait or ask the oompa's. And I remember that they once said that there were no plans about different releases.

True. But is it the same thing with box sets? Anyway, I believe it when I see it.

Someone asked once at BJ.com and they said that worldwide there is the same boxset. They don't plan different issues. If this changes we get informed.

It'll be a load of crap - misinformation. If you bought the Live From London vid from amazon.com, you'd see they include in the tracklist loads of songs like These Days and Dry County that are not on the video/DVD at all. Companies like HMV, unfortunately, don't carry out intensive research on all of their new products and chances are merely guessed at the DVD content instead of checking properly - I wouldn't get your hopes up. :(

But the content of the package stays the same, it won't be a completely different DVD, and won't be a live DVD in the way people think about a live DVD.

And why does everybody think about Hyde Park when they mention something about a live DVD ?

I dunno, maybe it's because 92,000 people or whatever it was that attended the show.I wasn't there so I can't say if it was such a good show or not.
