Am working on my website, going to put some of my graphics stuff on there because the next job I'm hopefully going for is a design one and they do website stuff as part, so if I make sure to point them to my website when I write a cover letter they can look and see some of my stuff :) I don't even know a lot of details about this particular job, but it looks interesting, and I'm getting close to the point of I need to start because we have to do 12 months, and I'll need to be back at uni late September next year :?

Theres alot of money in that isnt there?

Thomas Anderson 08-19-2006 04:18 PM

In what? lol There's surely plenty money in most things if you do well. I'm going to the place on Monday to find out where exactly it is because on the map it seems a fair way and difficult to get to (well that'd probably be 3 buses) so I'm not sure if I'll be going for that one. Hopefully something will come up, but it had better be quick, I'm going to email the women in charge of placements on Monday and ask her. After the interview on Thursday I was actually looking forward to getting that job, it sounded cool (got more details in the interview - the spec. before-hand it looked good, but not great) I suppose I could hope that the person who got it doesn't accept and they call me back, but I doubt it :(

you never know!! well good luck anyway . is it too far to go by bike?

Thomas Anderson 08-20-2006 03:39 PM

Well I don't have a bike anyway lol Regardless its 2 buses just to get into Runcorn, and the reliability of 1 bus is bad enough, 2 is probably pretty bad, but 3 is silly. Am going tomorrow anyway, see where the 2nd bus ends up and if its walking distance, but I doubt it'll be any good to be honest :(

Am gonna contact the placement tutor in the next few days anyway

New layout :)

Or the other thing to do is learn to drive?

Thomas Anderson 08-20-2006 10:23 PM

That really isn't something I could do, I just know I couldn't do it, and I don't really want to either really. The expense is one issue certainly, and also the fact that public transport, whilst oft unreliable, is more eco friendly and I'm used to it anyway. Yes it limits where I can go, but I really wouldn't be good at, nor like driving.

UKjovi 08-21-2006 10:27 AM

public transport it is then :) Although i still dont get why its eco freindly?

Thomas Anderson 08-21-2006 02:20 PM

Well 1 bus or train containing 50 people uses less fuel and causes less emissions than if each of those 50 people was driving their own car.
