Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 02:04 PM

I'm going to see Sahara this afternoon, though it's my dad who wants to see it more, he's read all of Clive Cusslers books so is interested to finally see a film adaptation.

UKjovi 04-08-2005 03:30 PM

hope its good then, the trailer looks good

Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 04:10 PM

Well one thing I found weird is that they advertise it, and there's one shot in the ad wherethey say "There's no way that shit'll work" and I've seen this ad on tv on kids channels during the day. Maybe I'm hearing it wrong or they are, lol. Just seems odd for an advert.

UKjovi 04-08-2005 06:16 PM

I'll have another listern and see what they say. Ive now got my Dvd player on the PC to play in colour so i will look at the Vcd again today :D and watch the trailers as well :D

UKjovi 04-08-2005 07:02 PM

Neil, just finaly got to watch the interview with Skinner , god so just so damn sexy and loverly and beautiful and sweet and i could kiss every part of her body :D
watched the trailers aswell , i want to see all of those films they all look good

Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 08:37 PM

Well if you like stuff like James Bond and Indiana Jones then you'd like Sahara. The characters are more believable than ones like Bond or Jones, they aren't meant to be perfect or know everything, just quite ordinary people in extraordinary situations. I put a short review in the Silver Screen forum.

What are you on about dvd player not playing in colour? lol That only happens with normal players that try to play region 1 discs on a non-compatible tv I think, should work fine on a pc though.

Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 08:50 PM

Updated my avatar again, a bit closer up on this one.

UKjovi 04-08-2005 10:43 PM

i think i would like that film then i watched the trailer on that dvd you sent me , btw i loveed it :D mind you i didnt watch the playboy bits in front of ross :)

Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 10:51 PM

Well obviously lol

They showed the Star Wars trailer today, first time I've seen it at the cinema, although of course I'd watched it many times on my tv, lol

UKjovi 04-08-2005 10:53 PM

yeah thats only what 6 weeks away? i will properly see it a week after its been out. tillys birthday is on 14th may so we will have a party for her so after that then i will see star wars :D

UKjovi 04-08-2005 11:02 PM

Neil just read your review on Sahara , it sounds realy good .although i cant go to the pictures i will deffently get it out on dvd as soon as it comes out . is it anything like the mummy?

Thomas Anderson 04-08-2005 11:10 PM

Nothing like The Mummy, lol. It's only a 12a so maybe one Ross could watch, only some mild swearing in there and action stuff, pretty good.

It's basically about a ghost ship from the civil war that Dirk Pitt is trying to track down, and the other storyline is about a disease which is killing people in the area, and both stories get through so the characters end up together and go to try and stop the outbreak of the disease whilst still looking for the ship.

One thing I liked was how human the characters where, not like James Bond who seems perfect and always has cheesy lines and whatever, much more down to earth.

UKjovi 04-08-2005 11:16 PM

Ross is very sensative so maybe not for him but i'll sure enjoy it. I do like it though when they portray the characters as someone that you can belive in rather than someone perfect like yo say James bond. It brings it closer to reality and plasably.
i'm watching the Borgata dVD at the moment and its so cool . although i still cant understand why so many went on about jons voice. it sound just the same to me . i think there are far too many people to try and put him down. it s like the british press love to see someone down on there knees

Thomas Anderson 04-09-2005 12:46 AM

I set up my tripod to get better shots using the zoom, a bit dark out to try anything, but check this out;

UKjovi 04-10-2005 03:38 PM

Went to Toys R us yesterday and me and ross looked at their star wars section and they have a darth vader light saber , its realy cool but at £90 abit expencive
Just been swimming as well so i feel fit again :D

Thomas Anderson 04-10-2005 03:50 PM

Did they have the masks? You can get the vader mask and it has a built in voice changer so it makes you sound like Vader, around £30 I think, if I had a bit of extra cash and felt in the need for pointless shopping then I'd buy one, lol

UKjovi 04-11-2005 10:37 AM

yeah they had one and ross wanted it aswell as the outfit of vader but of course like a good dad i said no :P far too much money plus its tills birthday so i have to save up for that first . although it was kinda fun to play with the toys and us the excuss that i was playing along with ross :D

Rakel 04-12-2005 04:09 AM
