the cure are a band i find it really difficult to pick a favourite tune but if i had a gun pointed to my head i'm 99.9% sure that'd be the one i picked.

strangely enough just now i'm listening to me faffing about playing lullabye on my guitar cos i just discovered a sound that's very similar with a new pedal i'm messing around with :D

a guy i work with just now used to work in radio

i was talking about creedence the other day and he told me a story about when his company were commissioned to do a biography type show on john fogerty and creedence.

he said everythign was going fine then his wife (also his manager) phoned them and said he was happy to do the show with them but on the condition that it was called: john fogerty, the genius behind creedence clearwater revival.

said they thought it was a joke until she flat out refused to do anything with them if the name wasn't used.

the word ego maniac sprung to mind.
