Funny how things are. I actually wanted to see Dan Reed Network in '89, not Bon Jovi. Didn't care about them. I was 10 and my uncle took me. I had converted to Bon Jovi by the time the concert ended. It was late November. My Christmas presents that year were all 4 Bon Jovi albuns and a Barbie :p Still love love love Dan Reed Network. "The Salt of Joy" is undoubtedly one of my favourite songs.

Bloc Party's album "A Weekend In The City" is on the menu today. I particularly like "Hunting for Witches" and "Uniform".

just wish he would get original band back together, slam, heat, and 1st one fookin awesome records

Brilliant album which makes the fact their solo stuff is terrible all the more annoying :(

I'm listening to random stuff on Spotify just now it's Beirut - Postcards from Italy

Love dan reed, you got "comin up for air ". seen him 3 times this year, number 4 in about 3 weeks

I have ordered it, waiting on its arrival, is it good? I love DRN, the piano version of "Stronger Than Steel" is my favourite ballad ever. I have their logo tattooed as well. Great band.

Yeah its good, if your expecting it to be like slam, heat etc its not for you. Its far more laid back acoustic driven. Listen to these, you will get some idea.

It's an excellent album. Like Eddie said, very laid back and acoustic driven. It's a more mature, more adult and current Dan Reed, but musically I reckon it's not so different from what he's done before. I see it as an acoustic Heat or Slam without the funk and with some Cafe Del Mar sprinkles :) I totally recommend it.

Still amazes me that Dan Reed never became a bona fide superstar...

I know, right? He's such a talented musician... Probably never had a marketing machine behind him and the band.
