I'm glad it is anyway, only the few fools who still do it aren't happy. They say it will put people out of jobs, their own fault for choosing such a line of "work"

Why they used hunt foxes in first place?

Well, they're seen as pests and their numbers need to be strictly controlled by the use of dogs who chase them for miles with no regard for people's private land, property or pets(!) and just want to get dressed up in ponsy outfits (not the dogs!) and have a 'jolly good time' - basically they're sadistic bastards and, thankfully, most of the government and public agree!

It seems to just be the stuck-up, toffee nosed, halfwitted twits that class it as a sport.

If it was just the people with knives or something against the foxes then it's real hunting, but when they sit on their horses dressed like the twats they are and get a hungry pack of dogs to catch the fox, which by that point had already been captured and starved so would be weak, that then proceed to easily catch it and rip it apart as painfully as possible.

I am all for farmers and such shooting foxes if they are a pest but only in circumstances with no alternative, but the "hunters" claiming they are helping keep the fox population dowen is pure and utter bollocks.

How would they like me and my friends to get one of their pets, or even their children maybe and hunt them on horseback with a pack of dogs?

I still dont understand why this is such an important issue...There seems to be only two small groups of people who care about it - the foxhunters and the animal rights guys, nobody else seems to give two sh*ts about it, yet there's the parliament act being inforced, human rights accusations, and years and years of work being put into stopping it. I just dont get it...

Only the people directly involved are the ones who constantly protest but if they had a vote across the whole country on the subject I think that more than 90% would votee in favour of a ban.

Great news !

I remember this post Sambora Laura made ages ago ..........

I dunno. to be totally honest it actually seems like it'd be a good bit of craic getting all tarted up, having a bevvy and chasing down foxes but I'm probably in the minority.

And Mr Goose must keep in mind that no law will keep dogs like myself from fox hunting 8)
