Hi Guys

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'd bet that LETTER TO A FRIEND is the first bon jovi song whose title song is not related to the chorus.

Sorry for my english

mite not be the ONLY one, but you do have a point. at least every single album song title they have ever done i think is related to the chours

They're talking about Bon Jovi songs whose title is not taken from their lyrics. Just like Letter To A Friend is not a line of said song.

its probably just jons and richies (and co) song writing technique of choice .. have the lyrics and music first before any title then just lift a catchy lyric from the song and use it in the title.

maybe thats why some of them arent that good..

mind you, some good titles are 'My guitar..'' ''Keep the Faith'' and ''2 story town'' .. the rest tend to be quite cheesy :?

Actually, they always say they start with a title. Title comes first, then the music and lyrics.

well, they probably do sometimes when its a particularly unique title. Like when Jon heard ''thankyou for loving me'' from that film and wanted that as a title for a song i spose.

No, not sometimes. Always. Anyone should be able to confirm this, they've said it in every single interview ever where they've been asked about their songwriting.
