Richie's getting sued

Does anyone watch the show Celebrity Justice? I saw this posted at Backstage. :?: :?:

I saw the episode, and I can't remember the guys name...but they said it was the the guy Richie co-wrote with for Cher. He claims he wrote most of the song and does not get credit at the end of the show. Richie was "not available for comment". They also said that the show "The Insider" was not allowed to use the theme again until the case was settled.

Typical lack of detail from a Backstager...and just goes to show that female backstagers aren't the only one that uphold tradition over there. If it was one us ...the all the details would be there.

A lot of people try this later on though after the song has been a hit . Have to wait and see the outcome, dont rekon it will make any difference to Richie whatever happens.

Woah, that sounds serious

It's over the theme music to the show "The Insider," so it's not over a hit song. I don't think Luke Ebben ever wrote anything with Richie for Cher since they didn't even start working together until 1999. If I remember correctly, Luke Ebben is my age and would have been in elementary school when Jon, Richie, and Desmond wrote We All Sleep Alone and in junior high or high school when Richie and whoever wrote another song she recorded in the early 90's.

there's an old saying with regards to song writing: where there's a hit, there's a writ.

even at that. pretty much what goes down ont he documentation as far as writing and perforamnce credits is set in stone. there's not many, if any, people that will go to court and overturn that

Why do people use every opportunity to slag off people that use Backstage? They aren't all dim-wits! Maybe they don't know any more than this, so are unable to post any more details!
At least Backstagers don't slag off other posters and criticise Jon for daring to draw breath!

Of course not, which is why ten of them registered here with new nicks and started slagging off other posters.

I still have to meet or read a post from a backstager that isn't a dim-wit.
