Has anyone here had the chance to meet Bon Jovi?

I live in Wisconsin and last time Bon Jovi came they had a meet the band contest. Of course I didn't win, but I knew the girl who did. She didn't get to sit and talk to the band, but she got to go back stage and touch Jon when he walked by and say hi. Has anyone here had the chance to meet them? If so what was it like, what did they say... Like many here, that is something I'm going to try and do in my lifetime.

Lately, the board has been full of negativity, lets try to keep this post insult free :)

I had the chance to meet Jon and he was very nice. He didn't come across as one of those stars who has an attitude. He was down to earth, obliging, and really did everything anyone could expect from a good celebrity meeting. He was more than happy to pose for photos and sign autographs and take a minute to talk to anyone. I've never had the chance to meet any of the other guys in this band.

It's not 'lately', that's just the general mood of this board :P

No, I met him on a fan club trip in 1998.

I've met other rock stars after shows (Warrant, Slaughter, Quiet Riot) and years after the peak of their successes, most of them had an "I am a rock star attitude." Blas Elias from Slaughter was very nice. They're all just human. I'm sure if you met me on certain days you'd think I was nice and on other days you'd think I was a total wench. I don't think it's fair to judge anyone based on one encounter, be it good or bad.

I know it makes me feel like why even post and waste my time if people are just going to respond by ripping it apart. I always think it is humorous when people try to do those lists when trying to knock someone's post- know what I'm talking about?
1. Blah blah blah
2. Blah blah blah
Ha ha ha. Anyways, I should keep on my own topic :) I bet if I met Bon jovi I'd probably freeze up and stand there like a weirdo. On the other hand, the band seems so nice and down to earth, I bet they're good at making fans feel comfortable. Did anyone ever see that show on being Bon Jovi's assistant? That girl won the ultimate contest. Remember when Jon worked out with her in the gym and gave her good advise? The entire band was welcoming and friendly!

I met all of them several times. At least one of them at least once a year since 1997 exept of 1999 when none of them was here in Europe. Usually they are very nice.
