I can totally understaand why you are so upset Becky. Roswell, will never be replaced but you can only try and move on. What you gotta remember is that your new cat is there to help you move on, not as a direct replacement...im not sure if that makes sense, I cant put into words what I want to say.
What im saying is, dont call your new cat, the same name, coz that will only bring back memories. Im not saying to forget Roswell. Im sure he will never be forgotton, but a new cat and a new name is a fresh start for you, and that can only be a good thing.
Even at such a young age, im confident Roswell had a good life, and now you have the opportunity to give the new cat a good life. Try looking to the future, rather than the past.
I cant help with the name though.

The new kitten is solid white with blue eyes---he looks like an alien. I tried calling him Roswell, but no one can seem to remember that but me. I need a good name for a screaming baby alien-looking cat.
