My kitten died. :cry: He was supposed to get neutered yesterday--routine surgery. Cats hardly ever have reactions to anestheisa, but he did. He probably had a genetic heart defect that they couldn't detect. I can't believe it. He was my baby.... I was keeping him in the house and loved having him inside. I've been crying since I found out at 5:30 yesterday. I don't understand why this had to happen. I loved him so much. I have all this love to give to someone/something and I keep loosing all the things I care about most and then I have to cry alone because no one cares enough about me to just let me cry in front of them. I'm tired of always being the person who listens that no one really wants to bother listening to. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Don't think it "always" happens to you ! that's life and you know this. I know how much it's depressing but don't think it will happen again and again. As you said he probably had a genetical problem, you didn't know.
And don't think no one cares. You're appreciated on here, you know this. But i can understand the thing about beeing the one who always listen to the others complaining etc .... even when they're really sad and need a ear.
When you need them they're rarely there ....
That's life again.

I'm sure you have many friends who would like to help you. Just call them.
And if there is really no one today, you know there will always be someone on JT :wink:

Sorry to hear that Becky, I know how sad it can be to lose a pet, they are members of the family, not just animals. You know you have lots of people to talk to here Becky.

Becky I really am sorry to hear about it. Everyone gets into a dark mood or a dark place every now and again. But I have no doubt that your friends at home do care. How could they not? You truly are a nice and caring person. Plus, always have the people here to turn to, as we all appreciate your friendship. Sometimes a good day long cry is what we need to sort things out and make us feel better.

Thank you all for replying. It is good to be able to talk to people on line. At the same time, I really wish I had someone right here to give me a hug. I honestly didn't want to go home yesterday. In just two months I've become so accustomed to that kitten's habits that I feel kind of lost without him. I'm going to get another kitten. There are thousands of them that need homes. I know this anesthetic reaction was a freak thing, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. I need something to shower with love and affection.
