Neil! I've a question... Is it possible for me to remove a certain "things" in a picture? I know you showed some pics here before where you had removed some persons, how do I actually do it? Or even better, would you mind helping me?

Asl ong as it isn't something huge then it is certainly possible, I've cut people out of shots and sometimes it turns out pretty good. Mostly you have to clone the surrounding area inwards, and use different blendings to make sure it looks real and not like it has simply been copied.

Here are a couple that I've done;


There was a lot of people in this shot, so I couldn't quite clone the stairs properly, but for the ammount of work I did it isn't *too* bad.

This is more subtle, I removed objects from the table and also the bag in the foreground, the tent wires etc. I did try to cut the whole tent, but there wasn't enough background to clone such that it wouldn't look badly copied.

I just did this because I was bored lol Not bad, but you can see how bad the cloning is along the path behind where the hydrant was.

This was for a photoshop contest on a site, I got a few votes for it, but the clonin on the bush is pretty bad and the colours don't match too well, but when I saw the source image I couldn't resist (the source being the middle one)
