My Brother's first BonJovi Concert - It was announced that Bon Jovi would be coming to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Feb. 20th 2003. From the second that concert was announced my 14 year old brother wanted to go. He has watched and listened to the band ever since I made him listen to Crossroad, then Crush, and Bounce. His birthday is Feb 19th and what better way to celebrate his birthday than with Bon Jovi. He couldn't afford the ticket so for months he tried to think of ways to get a ticket to this show. Little did he know I had already bought him a ticket to the show. For weeks leading up to his birthday he asked me to help him get a ticket, I told him I couldn't afford it for him and he seemed to understand, I could tell he was upset. On the day of his birthday I picked up a box from a Playstation 2 game that I knew he did not want, put the ticket in and resealed the case to make it look good. He looked disappointed when he opened his gift and my friend asked him to go play the game, he said yes just to be nice. He went to his PS2, opened the game and was in absolute shock. I have never seen my brother so surprised in his life. The following night we went to the show at the Air Canada Centre with a good friend and he had the time of his life, he wanted to hear his favourites (The Distance and Joey) and they played both. It was a great time and I hope it was a birthday that my brother Scott will never forget. BonJovi has that effect on people. – Paul J, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Yes i know its long... and probably why it didnt get in... although some of them were longer. |
