Can someone answer me this question. Was I GOT THE GIRL from the Crush album written for or about jon's daughter Stephanie. He sings just after the solo "But the queen of hearts will always be a five year old princess to me"

One could argue that all songwriting is self-indulgent but I won't because I don't really have the energy. So, I'll just say that I like this song too.

Very good point. After all, it always depends on how good or not you can identify with other people's artistry. And although I am nowhere near experiencing what is described in that song, I can easily understand the bold pride for a daughter. Yep, you got it, I like it very much.
