Jon and his "wisdom" - Part 4.
Aloha !
After reading the new letter from Jon that came with the Backstage magazine (no I'm not a member but read it online so again I saved a lot of money) I couldn't help but finding Jon a stupid dork again. Quote:
But the thing that bothers me is that instead of taking a producer that produces rock albums, he takes: Quote:

A discussion of any kind with someone like you is fundamentally impossible.

I am sorry that you are out of arguments on this. Life goes on. But don't tell me _I_ didn't discuss what you mentioned, because _I_ did. |
The producer thing. OK let me get this straight- you hated the last two records which were co-produced by a young up and coming producer, but now you're mad because a successful band is going with a successful producer??? The "hot" comment = successful which at the moment Mr. Shanks certainly is. By the way Mr Shanks is a musician turned producer he's played and worked with a variety of genres including Ozzy, Alainis Morissette, Melissa Etheridge and yes Keith Urban. He's produced some pretty damn good records in recent years so why not work with him? And these so called rock record producers- where are they? They must not be working much or they have switched genres because I can count on one hand the number of good rock records that have been produced in the last few years.
The commercial rock star thing- I have never seen nor heard Jon say he wasn't a commercial artist, I think what he was accusing the exec of was substituting the love of a dollar for real musicians you remember them bands and artists that wrote recorded and actually played their own music. The Elvis thing. You say JBJ is obsessed. Well, I say you are obsessed with JBJ and ripping apart eveything he says, does, wears, writes, records and releases. Please, get anither hobby because your obsession is getting old and tired. Critisism is fine, but c'mon you've taken a bunch of sentences, pulled them out of context, used you're own "creative" spin as to what they mean and slagged Jon off for it all. If you really hate the guy so much then stop following everything he does-- it's easy change the channel. |
