JBJ Interview With Contactmusic.com

BON JOVI TURNED HIS BACK ON HOLLYWOOD Rocker JON BON JOVI credits his decision not to move to Hollywood at the beginning of his career for keeping him grounded and his group still together. The IT'S MY LIFE star briefly flirted with Tinseltown in the early 1980s and admits he almost moved there until he realised that applying make-up for club shows wasn't really for him. He says, "Hollywood's not for me and playing the game out there, which adds value to your ticket - if you want to sell your soul, it's short term and it never appealed to me. "I saw through it as a kid and came back east." Bon Jovi still lives in New Jersey, where he grew up. ------------------------------------------------------------- BUSINESSMAN BON JOVI LOVES THE LADIES Rocker JON BON JOVI insists on surrounding himself with women when he's making new business deals - because they're smarter than men. The LIVING ON A PRAYER hitmaker admits women have a better head for business and he'd always employ a female over a male with similar skills and qualifications. He explains, "From my mother to my sister to my wife to my daughter, everyone of them is more logical in their decision making than any guy I've ever been around." ------------------------------------------------------------- BON JOVI TURNED TO SUPER BOWL COACH FOR FOOTBALL ADVICE Rocker JON BON JOVI called on three-time SUPER BOWL-winning coach BILL BELICHICK when he needed advice about starting up an American football franchise - because he didn't know anything about the business side of the sport. Bon Jovi, a co-owner of Arena Football League newcomers PHILADELPHIA SOUL, called NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS coach Belichick for tips on where to get equipment and players when he was starting up the team three years ago (02). He says, "We don't have a staff of NFL (NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE) people (while) 10 of the 19 teams in our league are owned by the (DENVER) BRONCOS and the (DALLAS) COWBOYS and so on. "We don't have an affiliation, so I don't have a personnel department. (When I started) I didn't have a shoulder pad; I had an idea. "I had to ask Bill about, 'How do I get shoulder pads?' - really silly questions... The learning curve was quick. It was dramatic." Bon Jovi's Soul have already become one of the most successful franchises in the Arena Football League. ------------------------------------------------------------- BON JOVI WANTS SCHWARZENEGGER FOR PRESIDENT Rocker JON BON JOVI insists he would turn his back on his left-wing political beliefs and vote Republican if pal ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ever ran for US President. The LIVING ON A PRAYER hitmaker is a staunch Democrat, who performed at rallies for JOHN KERRY as he fought to defeat PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH in the presidential election last November (04). But he wouldn't hesitate in supporting the action man-turned-California Governor if the Austrian-born superstar was ever given the OK to run for office in the White House. He says, "I would vote for him right now. I've known him a long time. I think he's a brilliant man, on and off the camera, and he's the most hard-working man, the most focused I've ever seen. "He knows more about our country, having come to this country as an Austrian, than a lot of people who have never been to our Statue of Liberty. "Forget the history concept, he understands what it is to come from nothing and he knows very well what it is to have everything... He came and worked as a construction worker in Santa Monica. I think he had a well-rounded background. "I've been in a room with him and talk about people that light up a room. I think world leaders are gonna come to see him the same way." ------------------------------------------------------------- BON JOVI: 'WE COULD ROCK FOREVER' BON JOVI are set to be the next ROLLING STONES - rocking in their 60s - because frontman JON BON JOVI insists his band have passed the point where they could split. The rocker is planning a lengthy run with bandmates TICO TORRES, RICHIE SAMBORA and DAVID BRYAN because the quartet are too mature to break up. He says, "All the trials and tribulations of youth and money and success and having hit records and then failures as records we're all through that. I encourage my band to go and do whatever they want. If they wanna make solo records or do whatever, I encourage them because you're bringing more information back to the fold." |

2. The Stones still fill up stadiums everywhere during every tour. BJ don't play regular stadium tour even in their own country. 3. Maybe they're too mature to release good records too. |
all those are parts of what Jon said during the Big Idea interview right ? 8)

It is from the Big Idea interview. Of course, Jon never mentioned his sister, seeing as how she doesn't exist.
