Do me a favour and buy COLMA which is my fave Buckethead album. He could give even Mark Knopfler feeling lessons... |
I'm not bothered at all if it ever gets released to be honest. And IF it does, I'd still be in no rush to buy it. All I could say is after a 10 year delay, it better be good. :?

As much as I love the music that the original line up released 15 or so years ago, Im not really sold on this being a "Guns 'n Roses" album. I'll probably buy it out of curiosity but I can't really say Im anticipating it all that much.
With only Axl being the only remaining member of the original line up, this album is really just him expressing himself and using the GNR name to make money. I'm sure if he changed the band name then not as many people would care, but because it's "GNR", then people believe its going to be something special and buy it almost believing its the same band. Without the same guys writing these songs, then how can it possibly sound the same as the earlier material. It's no different than Jon releasing his solo work under the "Bon Jovi" name. As much as I like Jon's solo work, it is the band (particuarly Richie) who contributes with the songwriting and together they created the songs that this band is famous for... Jon is a member of the band but he is not "the" band... I'm sure Axl will be able to come up with some decent, possibly even great songs, I just think a gimmick that he is using the name of a band that died years ago to get people to buy it. |
