It's My Life Charts
 

Hey,

Does anyone know why It's My Life didn't make it into the top ten when it was at it's height of popularity?

I was told that it was because they didn't release it in single form.

Do you mean here in Oz? It debuted in the singles charts at no.12 the week ending Sunday, 21st., May '00. Below are the highest chart positions the singles from Crush reached on the Oz charts. I read somewhere [wish I had kept it] that IML was the second highest charting single in the world for 2000 as well [beaten out of No. 1 by Madonna's "Music"]

It's My Life: #4 June '00

Say It Isn't So: #9 Sept. '00

Thank You For Loving Me: #29 Dec. '00

Own Wild Night 2001: #34 May '01

I guess you're referring to the US of A were it was the only place they didn't actually "release" (as in to the stores) the single. Basically no Bon Jovi singles have gotten released since 1995, BJ are geared toward an album audience here now. And yes it does hurt chart positions since it's a radio/video single only and billboard takes on account airplay plus sales.
