John Mellencamp's Life, Death, Love and Freedom which came with both a CD and an audio DVD.

This message from John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett is included:

"There's a specific reason that Life, Death, Love and Freedom is presented here on DVD, as well as on a CD. That reason is [sorry, JT doesn't seem to have a Greek character set] (CODE in Greek letters).

"[code] is a new system that creates high-definition audio that is virtually indistinguishable from the original master tapes, but does not require any new or special equipment to play it. If you've got a standard DVD player, or one built into your computer system, you can play the [code] DVD and experience this album with a resonance, depth, and presence that is unprecedented in the digital era. Additionally, the DVD contains [code] files that can be copied into most computer music software, including iTunes, and downloaded onto personal music players, such as the iPod.

"T Bone and his team of engineers developed CODE and were ready to debut it at the same time John and T Bone were putting the finishing touches on Life, Death, Love and Freedom, so it's only appropriate that this album is the first-ever release in this format.

"Life, Death, Love and Freedom on DVD also comes packaged with a standard CD version of the album for those of you playing the album in your car or in a system that doesn't have a DVD player.

"'We are very happy that people are going to be able to experience this album in a way that's true to our original intent. We hope you enjoy it.'"

Anyone know anything about CODE?

The Collection - Johnny Cash

I got obsessed with one of his songs and typically the first thing I do on Monday morning is go find a Johnny Cash CD. So I head to Woolworths and can't find anything Johnny Cash :( I searched and searched in that shop as it was the only one that was gonna have it. And THEN, stuck in the middle of a billion random CD's I find something. The Collection by Johnny Cash, but it's the Woolworths one, they took the album and place it in their own CD and put a £1 price tag on it, they also did the same to Rod Stewart and some others <_< But I bought it anyway and figured if I liked it I'd get rid of it and then go and find the official release.

Then I step into the que and lo and behold, right in front of my is this girl, about the same age as me. I was flabbergasted! What are the chances of two young people the same age going into the same shop to get the same CD, both being able to find the damn thing and doing it all at around the same time?!

Aw, it doesn't seem so amazing when it's written down :(

Oh! Oh! According to the CD label it's "Worth It!"

Lol, hope it is worth it :)

Stole Green Day's Nimrod from my cousin when he was up. Great album.

Got "Rock and Roll Jesus" by Kid Rock a couple of weeks ago. Bought it on the back on listening to "All summer long" on VH1, which is a great track.
The albums not bad, less rap then his other albums, more country/rock. Not bad if you like that kind of thing. Somewhat similar to Lost Highway.

Haha, it's not bad. I've only listened to 10 of the 18 songs on it but it's not bad. Definatly not what I was expecting :( But it was only £1 so I shall not complain.

I only listened to this song once and I've been singing it all morning

"You heart is mine
And for that I'll walk the line"

Well, it goes summit like that. Darn song been stuck in my head.

Ah-ha! "Walk The Line"! Love that song. Have you seen the film about his life named after that song?
