I have their greatest hits and think its awesome for the most part, musically its superb throughout and lyrically its good enough too, some excellent songs I would recommend you check out are Who's The One, Rainbow In The Rose, Blind Revolution Mad, On The Inside and Down Incognito. Its a very 80's hair metal orientated album but still it kicks ass and you'll probably get it cheap if your interested.

I didn't buy them myself, but I got Brad Paisley's Time Well Wasted, Miranda Lambert's Kerosene, and Bo Bice's The Real Thing for Christmas. My friend Sonya is getting me a Billy Joel Greatest Hits CD too, but I won't get it until Saturday.

Bo Bice's CD is quite good. I enjoyed most of it!

I got Bo's CD for Christmas too.. I only listened to the first five songs but so far it seems good. Richie wrote and plays guitar on two songs...

sorry i think you're reading too much into my post, wasnt meant to be a "dig" in any way..

Q gave it 1 star a long way back when it was rereleased, i was merely asking another person's opinion......since ive never heard any of Winger's material

Well sorry, didn´t mean it like that. You should check it if you like that late 80´s/early 90´s stuff. At least download/listen some clips and see if you like it. Critics aren´t always right.

Spikeout 12-28-2005 07:42 PM

Q give Stranger In This Town 2* and Undiscovered Soul 1* if I can remember correctly.

Alanis Morrisette Acoustic version of Jagged little pill, anniversary edition.

Dave 1986 12-30-2005 07:04 PM

Just ordered Slippery When Wet Dual Disk version off Amazon.co.uk at a very nice price. (Considering it's an import)

Can't wait, even though I already have the 1998 remastered version, but from what I've heard from people on thos board the Dolby 5.1 mix and additional elements sounds beastly. Plus I haven't listened to SWW for a while now, so I'll be well in the mood for it anyway.

Days of Worth - The Western Mechanism

They're a new British band, not very well known as of yet. They are seriously worth checking out though. There's a certain '80s rock' feel to them, but not over the top tongue in cheek, like The Darkness. They looks more like your average NME band. Big choruses, catchy riffs, loud. There's a definite Bon Jovi/Skid Row hint, a couple of tracks are very 'Iron Maiden' too.

Bongo VII 01-11-2006 07:54 PM

Winger - Winger

they're my absolute favorite hair metal band

also David Bryan's Lunar Eclipse cd and The String Quartet Tribute to Bon Jovi

Spikeout 01-11-2006 08:18 PM

Winger kick ass and I'll have to take a look at Days of Worth when I get the chance then.

Just bought Echoes - The Best Of Pink Floyd, hope to hell they live up to their title as one of the best bands in the world.

Echoes is a good collection of Pink Floyd songs, a nice way to start off. But you really need to get into their studio albums to understand the pure awesomeness. Dark Side/The Wall I vote.
