Hey Russ,

It is really good although I don't think it completely captures the energy and excitement of the shows. I was at 2 of the 3 Dublin shows and there were a couple of songs missing that I would have liked. Also, I missed the song introductions that were omitted. I do watch the DVD version but, for audio I still reach for the individual nights bootlegs. :D
This music seems to have an either love it/hate it thing going but, for me I love it...Bruce can do no wrong;)

Of course it's good - can Bruce be bad? LOL I've had this for a few weeks also.

Actually - I have read a few reviews that said the DVD could have been better. I understand that the shows themselves were incredible. And yes Vicky - I have boots of all of them and listen to them. Bruce's bootlegs are some of the best around.

Kathleen, youve seen him live , how does he compare to Bon Jovi? I liked his earlier stuff but havent kept up with his later stuff

Um yeah - I see Bruce live any chance I can get. Of the 10 nights he played at Giants Stadium in 2003 - I was there for 9 of them. The other night was a Bon Jovi concert in Philadelphia so I went to it instead LOL.

If you see Bruce live - or Southside Johnny for that matter - you would recognise where Jon got a lot of his stage presence. I'm not saying he copied them - but he relates to the audience in the same way.

For example - I was at a Rush conert on Sunday night and I was amazed at how many people just sat in their seats and didn't sing along. I am so used to Bruce and Bon Jovi shows where the audience is VERY involved.

As far as how he compares to Bon Jovi - I have to say that NOBODY puts on a better live show than Bruce. Keep in mind that music is what Bruce does - no acting - no football teams - he lives and breathes music. He does solo tours when he is not touring with the E Street Band. His music is darker than Bon Jovi music - no question. If you want to see something of his show - go buy the Live in New York City DVD - you can get it used cheap. What a show LOL.

EASY TIGER by Ryan Adams, plus one of his older records, DEMOLITION. This guy is becoming this generation's Springsteen. Absolutely love his work.

Sorry to hear that Russ. When I see Springsteen live or Southside Johnny for that matter - it's obvious where Jon got many of his stage moves.
