Arctic Monkeys - Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High? (one track limited edition CD)
Gonna have sex with it it's so good. |
All the years that I've been a fan of Springsteen I did not know about an EP called Chimes of Freedom. I got this one recently and the perfect live version of the songs on this EP have been played numerous times already.
This EP proves to me why I think Tougher Than The Rest is one of Springsteens best songs. I was unlucky and did not get to hear this song on the Wrecking Ball Tour but I really hope to hear it the next tour! I salute you, TS |

Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe. I've been waiting for this to come out since the start of the year when I heard an amazing tune (Recover) on the radio going to work and had to google and find out who they were.

Alter Bridge - Fortress
What an album. Seriously, they just get better and better. First listen I thought it was very very good but I knew some songs would take a bit of listening too so I could get familiar. On second listen, I already knew it was better than the last 3 albums and they take some beating. Myles Kennedy is incredible. For a man who tours as much as he does, his vocals show no sign of going downhill. His power and range is excellent. Mark Tremonti proves why he is so underrated. His riffs and solos blow me away at times. Also has a great song with Myles on it. Roll on October when I see them again. |
September's been a good month for new releases, I got the following:
The 1975 - The 1975 Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks Tamar Braxton - Love and War The Clash - Sound System Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady Sheryl Crow - Feels Like Home Elton John - The Diving Board Birdy - Fire Within Cher - Closer to the Truth Nirvana - In Utero (20th anniversary edition) Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 |
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine - Lost the original so bought it again.
Manic Street Preachers- rewind.... Jessie J - (For my 5 year old daughter!) |

Alter Bridge - Fortress, easily album of the year. Buzzing to see these guys next week.

Got Alter Bridge's Fortress. It´s a solid album but I still think One Day Remains is their best album.
I salute you, TS |

Enjoying it more and more every listen. 'Calm The Fire' is an incredible song. The start is cool and then when it kicks in with the riff and Myles vocals on the first verse, it really is superb. Still the best vocalist out there for me. I think Blackbird or Fortress are there best albums. I love all four though. Really excited to see them again. 3rd time I think this will be... |

Coldplay - Ghost Stories..... Not impressed at all, out of the 9 tracks only 2 stood out, those being the ones they've released as singles.
|
Birds of Satan - Taylor Hawkins side project. Its good.

Bruce - official downloads - Atlanta show. A good portion of The River was played at this show and I had to have it.
|
I got myself a lot of the recordings based on the setlists. Buying them all would leave me bankrupt. Besides I am not that big of a fan of the quality of all recordings but the ones I treasure most luckily have the best quality when it comes to Bruce-recordings.
I salute you, TS |
