Bloodhound Gang - Hefty Fine. This was the first band I ever really listened to, so it was kind of a loyalty-buy. Nice record anyway. The record I bought before that was HAND with DVD.

I just bought the Les PAul Tribute with Richie playing on it. Very enjoyable disc - high quality recording and good music.

I just bought the new Cream DVD - I have several bootlegs from their recent reunion but this has superb sound. If you like Clapton at all - go buy it - it's great.
At the same time I bought the new Great Big Sea album - The Hard and the Easy. These are traditional acoustic Newfoundland folk songs. Absolutely gorgeous :)

Well, I doubt it will ever be one of my favourite albums, but it is fairly reasonable. The thing is, for the most part, it's not really reinterpreting the songs, as, for example, TLFR does (to a certain extent), just taking the lyrics and basic melody and composing a swing song using them really. Jump is alright, cos they keep the keyboard "riff", except it's played on brass. It's My Life I think works quite well, mainly because of the reference to Frank Sinatra and My Way, which Anka wrote

UKjovi 11-02-2005 07:47 PM

Aerosmith - Just Press Play, great album so far and is Joe Perry on form or what....hell yeah, Tyler is so varied on vocals too, if your an aerosmith fan go out and buy it.

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV, so far pretty crap, my first Zeppelin album and only a couple of good songs, Plant's voice is pure crap at times. Page does a good enough job, some neat little rhythm parts in Going To California and The Battle Of Evermore and of course his very good but overrated solo in Stairway To Heaven.

Just won a bid on Aerosmith's Pump album on Ebay 99p plus postage and package which is £2.24 altogether.

The Donnas "get skintight": A really great album with a good version of Crues "to fast for love"

They've only had 2 greatest hits and 1 live album in 21 years, and both greatest hits only have 2 common songs ... I'd say thats pretty fair

Anyway, I bought:

Motley Crue - Red, White and Crue
Skid Row - Skid Row
Guns N' Roses - GnR Lies
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime

bla bla bla.... This one came with a DVD of all their videos - that alone is worth the $15. Am loving it.
