Albums, which one do u prefer & why?

This must be in a category os "stupid questions", but I dont remember seeing this discussed/argued before, so here it goes:

We all have shouted out our favorite albums time and time again, but I don't recall thread about "why's"....so I'm asking u to once again post ur fav album, backed up with why you prefer that particular album. And I am expecting more than just "it rocks"......and keep this in the positive side.

here's mine:

Debut.
Heard runaway on radio when the single came out. Instantly it sounded like something new and fresh, not to mention it was bit different from everything I was into back then. Album came out, bought it without further listening. I was amazed about how catchy yet powerful the whole album was, only track that didn't quite fit in was Love Lies.

Now years has passed by, but still listening to that album, it sounds fresh. Ok, soundwise it is bit outdated, but energy of young band is still very clear. I still don't find any cold, calculated radio friendly hits in it, just rock at its best. Looking back, I surely believe that other tracks from it than just Runaway deserves a change. Goddamn they should play them live. Maybe with bit of a new arrangement, but damn them songs are still great.

EDIT: Point was to choose *one* album. It's easy to pick 2 or 10, but one, the absolutely most enjoyable, is another thing. *That* is what I was asking for.

My favourite is These Days. Iīm not so good with words to say just why this is my favourite album. Eh, I just happen to like it the best, obviously you want to know why I like it so I should try to explain. When I became a fan, it was These Days all over the place. Iīd heard Livinī On A Prayer, Bad Name and some other of their hits but those werenīt "enough" to make me a fan. Again, I can say my brother is to blame Iīm a fan. Like he recorded that live show from mtv, he also had These Days on tape. I donīt know why, but maybe I liked it so much because there really wasnīt any music like this at the time. At least, none of them came to my knowledge since all my friends listened was euro-dance and Greenday and its alikes.

Now, obviously times have changed and Iīve now heard all their albums many times. Keep The Faith is actually something that is very close to being my favourite but still, no other Bon Jovi album gives me as good vibes as These Days. Maybe because itīs my "first one".

These Days - because it was my first BJ album and the one I can listen to time and time again, always discovering new layers and new emotions. I love the lyrics, the music, the production, the voices - absolutely everything about that album :D

Keep The Faith.

Could go on and on about why I like the album, but in a nutshell I think the music is really mature, there's not a weak song on it, and it's got great rock songs, top power ballads and some cool chill out songs. Some of Richies best guitar work, some cool bass riffs and Jon's voice is tip top. Even the demos kick as like Fields and Fire and Starting All Over Again!

These Days is my favourite. Musically and lyrically, i think that it's a wee bit darker than the other albums, and I think it was a good thing for the band after all the positiveness of their other records. I'm not saying that being postitive is a bad thing, I just feel that there has to be a certain amount of negativity in the world. After all, without negativity and sadness, we wouldn't know what optimism and happiness would feel like, right?

keep the faith- great rock songs, less cheesiness (i know, cliche, but true)
that was their best era

this is a difficult question, because I think it depends on my mood to which album I prefer usually between SWW NJ TD.

However if I was pushed and had to decide which one to take to a desert island I would choose NJ , because it in general encapsulates a song for every mood , from get up and go, love songs, live rock. Compared to others SWW I associate with more rock, TD I associate with a dark side more emotional.

Definately SWW.

Because I was still young, wild and .... when that album was released.lol
This album shows the Bon Jovi I felt for back in the 80's. I went totally nuts when I heard you give love a bad name. There were a lot of rockbands then but at that moment Bon Jovi beat them all.

May I have two :P ?

-New Jersey - I like the "mood" of the album, everytime I listen to it, it makes me feel better :)

-These Days - It's the best album ever for me, I don't think I'm gonna like something as much as I like TD. I think eveything on TD is perfect: the music, the lyrics and the vocals. Wonder if I would ever hear any of these songs live
