Go tell him to read Hayek's Road To Serfdom. Hayek doesn't take the premise of the book quite far enough, but if your communist buddy's got a brainstem and can get through the book, he ain't gonna be a communist much longer.

You know, I find its amazing how many yanks see perceive communists as the enemy, and communism itself as some kind of threat to the world, (nothing to do with you this Adrian) they've been conditioned that much that they still 'fear' communism and regard them as some lower form of life.. funny actually

This dude really wants to debate the war with me. the only problem I have is that he sees it as some objectice moral obligation not to be at war with anyone whereas I'm probably just going to put on my army gear, kick him in the balls and see how he feels about military aggression afterwards.
