EU accountability? your thoughts?
just finished a presentation for politics on how the EU's 4 main institutions (court of justice, parliament, EU commission and Council of ministers) could strengthen links to the electorate and be more accountable.
Kinda interesting in a boring way. What are your thoughts? Don't worry I'm not being a lazy shit, it's already done and it's too long already. I'm just wondering if anyone elsewhere has different views. See how the different countries look at it. I reckon the only way is by having the Parliament scrapping the list system to have a more balanced concentrations of MEPs with regards to population distribution. Glasgow only has 1 MEP out of 7 and it's by far the biggest city here. And apathy needs to be sorted out. if People won't vote in their national elections, why will they go and vote for one they don't even know or care even less about? it's just a matter of how do you fight it? What do you dudes think? |
